INRO made of Japanese urushi lacquer, opening into four compartments and a lid, featuring a beautiful gold-lacquer decoration of two Shishi—one depicted sitting on the front, the other dancing on the back—against a black lacquer background. Interior finished in Nashiji lacquer. Edo period (1603–1868), late 18th century to early 19th century. Dimensions: 7.5 x 6 cm.
