French Louis-Philippe-style chest of drawers in burl walnut, late 19th century

This chest of drawers, from the Loire region, features a burl walnut front with rich circular motifs. Its three drawers, joined with dovetail joints using traditional cabinetmaking techniques, are in perfect working condition and offer generous storage space.

Its top, made of richly veined gray Sainte-Anne marble and edged with a molding, follows the shape of the piece. Both the marble and the wooden frame feature chamfered corners. The chest of drawers rests on glide feet.

A single key opens and closes all three original locks. Passed down through generations and carefully maintained, this chest of drawers is in very good overall condition. All of its components are original, including the locks.
