Griffin, 19th-century Academic Drawing

Academic drawing of a griffin from the late 19th century.
The original is a marble frieze carved in bas-relief and housed in the Department of Greek, Etruscan, and Roman Antiquities at the Louvre Museum.
This frieze was discovered in Italy and acquired by the museum in 1804.

This charcoal drawing on paper, signed in the lower right corner (illegible), is presented in a later frame.
