"fish" Sculptural Lamp – P. Granchi – Gilded Ceramic – 20th-century Design

An original and highly decorative table lamp signed by P. Granchi, featuring a large, stylized sculpture in the shape of a fish.

The body, designed in a decidedly decorative and modernist style, combines ceramic with a glossy gold glaze with large fins sculpted in darker tones, creating a beautiful contrast. The golden surface has a deliberately irregular and textured appearance that catches the light particularly well.

The sculpture rests on a rectangular wooden base, bearing a metal plaque on the front marked “P. GRANCHI”.

The gold-plated metal electrical fixture is offset toward the back of the sculpture and supports a large, slightly conical lampshade covered in light beige fabric.

A spectacular and original lamp, serving as both a decorative sculpture and a light fixture, characteristic of the taste for stylized animal forms prevalent in the second half of the 20th century.
