A beautiful pair of antique Neo-Renaissance-style candlesticks, richly adorned with botanical and architectural motifs.
Each candlestick features a particularly intricate design with chimera heads and other mythical creatures, volutes, foliage, shells, and relief motifs. The central section, with a fluted shaft, has a gilded finish. The four-legged bases are lavishly decorated and rest on four scroll-shaped feet, giving the set a remarkable decorative presence. One candlestick has a very slight crack on the top—see photos.
