This Sublime Rectangular Trumeau, Crafted from Cream-Lacquered Wood, Is Richly Embellished with Gilded Wood Carvings in the Louis XVI Style, Including Knots, Ribbons, Cascading Flowers, Bouquets in Vases, Drapery, garlands, and laurel branches. The upper section is centered by an oval medallion, an 18th-century oil on canvas depicting an allegorical mythological scene with female figures and putti in a landscape.
