Elegant antique gilded bronze fireplace screen, crafted in the Louis XV style, dating from the late 19th century, around 1880.

A very beautiful piece with particularly rich ornamentation, featuring a dynamic frame composed of volutes, rocaille motifs, foliage, and openwork designs, characteristic of the rocaille decorative repertoire.

The central section is adorned with a charming gilded bronze decoration depicting two winged putti positioned on either side of a blazing brazier, a motif particularly well-suited to the object’s function.

The piece rests on two elegant, richly ornate legs adorned with foliage. The gilded bronze structure frames a fine protective metal mesh, thus preserving its original function while serving as a beautiful decorative element in front of a fireplace.
