A Pair Of Imari Vases With Relief Dragons, Signed Hichōzan
A refined pair of Imari porcelain vases with globular bodies and long necks, decorated with vivid iron-red enamels on a karakusa ground, enriched with circular reserves depicting birds and the flowers of the four seasons, set within an abundant floral decoration.
Each vase is encircled by an imposing white dragon modeled in high relief, sinuously winding around the body and neck.
Hichōzan mark under the base.

Condition report: Very good condition, with minor wear. The cracks along the dragons are not restorations but original firing flaws. They are more evident along the tails, where the modeled elements are thinner.
