Piedmontese Walnut Chest – 18th Century

The chest has a rectangular shape with framed panels on the front and sides and rests on shaped feet. The lift-top lid provides access to an internal side storage compartment, secured by a lock.

Of particular interest is the antique lock, complete with its beautifully crafted key, which has an unusual and refined shape and is one of the piece’s most distinctive features.

The chest is in good overall condition, consistent with its age and normal signs of wear. However, it requires conservative restoration, particularly on the top panel, whose closure is currently not perfectly aligned.

An authentic 18th-century Piedmontese piece of furniture, full of charm and character, ideal both for an antique collection and as a piece of furniture in classic or contemporary settings.
