The son of Swedish painter Allan Osterlind, Anders Osterlind (1887–1960) grew up surrounded by the works of the Impressionist and Post-Impressionist masters (including Auguste Renoir). A prominent member of the School of Paris and a member of the Salon d’Automne and the Salon des Tuileries, he was also one of the leading figures of the Creuse Valley (School of Crozant) and Brittany.
The canvas is in good condition. The frame shows signs of wear and chips.
