A fine Empire period gilt-bronze mounted mahogany guéridon with a Bleu Turquin marble top. The guéridon features very elegant lines, standing on a richly carved tripod base with legs shaped as scrolling volutes, adorned with rosettes. This creates a striking variation with the gilt-bronze palmette mounts on each leg. The base raised on bun feet, displays a gilt bronze tazza in the centre.
Attributed to François-Honoré-Georges Jacob known as Jacob Desmalter (1770-1841).
