A remarkable oval-shaped bowl in gilt bronze and cloisonné enamel, an authentic creation by the prestigious Maison Alphonse Giroux in Paris during the Second Empire under Napoleon III.
Exceptional finesse in the Japonist-inspired enamel composition depicting a bird in flight, irises, a dragonfly, and water lilies on a gilded background, framed by a band of vivid blue geometric motifs.
Remarkable casting and chasing, with three legs depicting herons or storks.
Features its original vintage label on the reverse side.
In superb condition with its original patina; the enamels are intact and luminous.
