Rectangular polychrome wood frame, decorated with gilded floral motifs and two red lines on a green background. It also features straight flared corners, reminiscent of common architectural styles from the Spanish Baroque period. It is fitted with a metal ring on the back for hanging on the wall. It features an engraving depicting a Pietà under the title “Our Lady of the Way,” produced by the workshop of L. Lacau in Burgos, Spain, as indicated just below the image. This lithography and printing workshop was active in that city around the mid-19th century. ·
