Ceramic vase from the Satsuma province of Japan, late 19th–early 20th century. Fairly rare blue background (slightly darker in reality than in the photos), decorated with figures, accented with warm gold and polychrome glazes that are very raised to the touch. Hand-painted red signature on the background.
