Pendantshaped Reliquary Case, Plated Metal, 18th Century

Oval reliquary pendant in silver-plated brass, engravedon all sides. One side bears the Christogram (Initials of Christ), while theother displays the Initials of Mary beneath a crown, together with a piercedheart and a small crescent moon. The sides of the case are engraved with agarland motif of stylized water leaves.The case is secured by a small flat screw and stillcontains a few period religious keepsakes (see photographs).Convent work from the 18th century. The mercury silverplating appears remarkably well preserved, showing very little wear.Dimensions: 7 × 4 × 1 cm.A fine and attractive antique devotional object,preserved in good condition.
