The vase and one handle have been reattached.
Finding such a group from this period in perfect condition is extremely rare.
While the subject dates to the same era as the work of Paul Louis Cyfflé, this piece was not created by him; it dates to around 1780.
This pastoral scene is typical of the Louis XVI style. It is of fine craftsmanship and features multiple figures, animals, floral elements, and a cherub.
