A very beautiful small Art Deco pedestal table made of various types of wood; the tabletop features a central rosette motif with geometric marquetry, burl, ebony, rosewood, etc.
Given the quality and beauty of this small side table, it is most certainly the work of a renowned cabinetmaker who could likely be identified *
It rests on four very elegant, tapered, faceted legs, the upper portions of which are adorned with inlaid ebony fillets arranged in a cascading pattern and highlighted by fine fillets of light-colored wood; each topped by two superimposed rings or bands surmounted by a small ebony disc.
The oval tabletop, featuring a radiating design, is framed by a flowing band whose elegant, sinuous lower line ends, on either side of the top of the legs, in elegant scrolls or volutes of the most beautiful aesthetic effect.
Each leg rests on a small, oblong ebony heel (note that one of them has been replaced with a poorly made one that will need to be replaced).
