An important Indian printed fabric featuring a design of vases filled with flowers, produced on the Coromandel Coast in the second half of the 18th century, around 1760.

This beautiful fabric consists of several joined panels, each approximately 59 cm wide, a characteristic of Indian textiles produced for European markets in the 18th century.

The design consists of a succession of large floral bouquets spilling from Oriental-inspired vases, alternating with narrower bands adorned with foliage and stylized flowers. This particularly well-balanced vertical composition lends the piece remarkable decorative elegance.

The color palette harmoniously combines madder reds, indigo blues, and brown-black tones against a natural cream background. The quality of the design, the finesse of the printing, and the richness of the decoration attest to the craftsmanship of the Indian workshops that supplied the French, Dutch, English, and Portuguese markets throughout the 18th century.
