19th-century Trottier copper cake mold. A two-tiered, fluted mold marked "TROTTIER FT BREVETÉ" (Trottier Maker, Patented). It dates to the 1870s or 1880s. The stamp on the base identifies the work of one of the most renowned makers of high-end French culinary ware—a firm founded in Paris in 1814 by the coppersmith and metalsmith Charles Trottier, who specialized in creating the finest pastry, jelly, and cake molds of the 19th century. Notable for its size, it measures 20 cm in base diameter and 18 cm in height. It is in good overall condition, showing signs of use; please note some small dents on the top of the mold.
