Small Kidney-shaped Mahogany Table, Transition Style – Early 20th Century
This elegant, kidney-shaped table in the Transition style embodies all the refinement of Transition-style furniture as reinterpreted in the early 20th century. Topped with a sumptuous breccia marble slab featuring rich shades of purple and pink, it is accentuated by a delicate openwork brass rail that perfectly follows its sinuous lines. Around its base, this small mahogany piece features a central drawer adorned with a finely chiseled keyhole and a delicately crafted key. The sides are decorated with magnificent, perfectly executed scrollwork featuring Louis XVI knots and garlands of fruit. The piece rests on a slender base, whose fluted legs are embellished with decorative bronze spindles. The curved feet are also adorned with bronze finials. At mid-height, a kidney-shaped crossbar shelf gracefully ties the piece together, providing additional display space. It is highlighted by a brass mold.
A small table full of charm and elegance, perfect for adding a warm and refined touch to your decor.
