An elegant and very narrow carved and painted wooden trumeau, dating from the late 18th–early 19th century.

The upper section features a large trophy depicting gardening implements: a watering can, a pitchfork, a shovel, and tools intertwined among branches, complemented by a fruit basket adorned with pompons. The entire arrangement is suspended from a knotted ribbon.

The design is carved in high relief, painted in a traditional Provençal green, and accented with cream-colored patina.

This particularly narrow format was intended to be placed between two openings or two architectural elements, hence its name “trumeau d’entre-deux.”

Mirror previously replaced.
