Pair Of Louis XVI-style Nightstands – Almond Green With A Patina – Early 20th Century
An elegant pair of Louis XVI-style nightstands, dating from the early 20th century, featuring a very lovely antique almond-green patina that is soft and luminous.
Slightly rounded in shape, each table features three drawers on the front, adorned with delicate carved foliage and floral motifs. The drawers are accented with round knobs that harmonize perfectly with their color.
The upper section is accented by a carved frieze, which is also repeated on the lower part of the piece. The set rests on four tapered, fluted legs, richly carved and adorned with foliage motifs characteristic of the Louis XVI decorative repertoire.
The almond-green patina, intentionally nuanced and slightly worn in places, lends this pair a great deal of character and particularly highlights the relief of the carving.
Both decorative and functional thanks to their three drawers, these tables can naturally be placed on either side of a bed, but can also be used as small side tables or end tables in a charming interior.
