Christofle, "anémone-belle époque" Vase In Silver-plated Metal, 20th Century

A small vase with a rounded neck, adorned with four long, sinuous stems in relief and flanked by two handles shaped like anemone flowers.

The Anémone-Belle Époque collection was designed in 1902 by Christofle for Perrier-Jouët and is inspired by the anemone flowers created by Émile Gallé for the Belle Époque cuvée of the famous champagne house.

Several marks and inscriptions visible on the reverse:

• Goldsmith’s hallmark (a balance with a bee between the pans, surmounted by four stars, two twigs below, and the letters OC in an oval inscribed within a rectangle), in use since 1935

• Quality hallmark (square mark featuring a chess knight on the right, the letters OC at the bottom left, and the number I at the top left), in use since 1983

• “Christofle” stamp

Slight scratches from use on the base.
Good overall condition.
20th-century piece.
