Allegorical Scene, Gilded And Painted Wooden Trumeau, 19th Century.

A very beautiful trumeau made of wood, painted (green) and gilded with gold leaf, featuring an elegant architectural composition. The upper section is adorned with a painted panel under glass, depicting a mythological and allegorical scene, with figures dressed in ancient style within a landscape against a blue sky. This painting under glass lends the piece a particularly refined and decorative quality.
The mirror is framed by two twisted columns richly molded and gilded, resting on turned feet. The frame features beautiful decorative elements characteristic of the Empire style. Period mirror, preserved in its original condition, with minor imperfections and signs of age that attest to its antique status. A very beautiful Empire-style trumeau, notable in particular for its original glass backing and antique mirror. Period: 19th century; Napoleonic era.
