Small ladies' writing desk in marquetry, in the Louis XV/Louis XVI Transition style. Cube marquetry on the sides, musical motifs on the front, and a Carrara white marble top with beautiful ornamentation featuring patinated and chiseled gilded bronze.
It is in good overall condition, complete, and has never been restored.
This writing desk features a large drawer in the upper section, a drop-down panel with a work surface in the center—comprising a niche and four small drawers below—and, in the lower section, a two-door cabinet with a shelf.
The drop-down panel is covered in original leather that shows signs of wear but can be replaced if necessary.
