The central motif depicts a superb bouquet of flowers spilling from an antique vase, rendered in wood of a contrasting shade to accentuate the relief.
The piece is enhanced by rich ornamentation of gilded and chiseled Rocaille-style bronze fittings.
These bronze pieces highlight the edges, frame the marquetry panels, and form leaf-shaped handles as well as openwork keyholes.
