Louis XV Period Chest Of Drawers - 18th Century France
This beautiful Louis XV period oak crossbow chest of drawers has four drawers. The handles and keyholes are worked in bronze. The legs of this chest of drawers are curved with a crosspiece. The top of the chest of drawers has numerous knife cuts, suggesting that it must have been used as a hunting chest. Indeed, in bourgeois and aristocratic homes, a piece of furniture was reserved for cutting game. 18th century - France
