DESCRIPTION:
A significant oval sculpture made of solid Murano glass from the historic Toso Vetri d'Arte glassworks, created in the 1960s/1970s.
A masterpiece of Italian Space Age design. Created using the “sommerso” technique, it features a body of transparent and light blue glass enclosing a central cobalt blue core. Inside, an elegant spiral red lattice pattern runs through the entire sculpture, creating depth and movement.
The opaline white side bands add further light and contrast to the piece.
Disc-shaped with cold-polished surfaces and sharp edges. A typical example of Toso’s artistic production from the 1960s–1970s, a period when the glassworks collaborated with leading designers and produced unique collector’s pieces.
Hand-signed on the base.
CONDITION:
Excellent condition. No chips or cracks. Minor display marks on the base.
