Pair Of Gilt-bronze Incense Burners, Empire Style, France Or The Baltic Region, 19th Century
A pair of gilded bronze incense burners shaped like a small neoclassical temple divided into three sections by pilasters with Corinthian capitals, topped by a central dome, openwork with a star-shaped motif and an urn with a lid in the center, resting on a tripartite red marble base. The gilded bronze needs cleaning; the exposed parts, as seen in the photos, have superb gilding.
In very good overall condition; the bronze parts require cleaning.
