Roberto Camozzo — Large Murano Glass Flower, 20th Century
Spectacular Murano glass sculpture created by Roberto Camozzo, an Italian glass artist born in 1945.
The work depicts a large stylized flower with elongated petals, crafted from transparent glass enlivened by vivid polychromatic inclusions: red, yellow, blue, green, and pink. Its center consists of a large disc of translucent glass containing numerous air bubbles, creating a remarkable effect of depth and light.
The flower is supported by a sinuous stem ending in a leaf and rests on an elegant black cubic base. The composition, which is particularly dynamic, changes in appearance depending on the lighting and the angle from which it is viewed.
A very luminous decorative sculpture, characteristic of the craftsmanship of the Murano master glassmakers during the second half of the 20th century.
Signed on the base.
