A Gilded Louis XVI-style Trumeau With Unusual Decorations.
A lovely gilded Louis XVI-style mantelpiece from the late 19th century.
There is a signature on the upper panel: "A.HUBEAY"?
This piece is particularly interesting due to its very elongated figures, the flowing drapery, and the stylized trees, which lend it a much more Symbolist, almost Art Nouveau feel than a simple neoclassical design.
We can make out women or nymphs dancing in a wood, as well as a figure on the right who appears to be following an animal or another figure.
This panel is very interesting due to its originality and this intriguing scene.
There are a few signs of wear to note, limited to the gilding, but it is in very good overall condition.
The depicted scene is in perfect condition.
Dimensions: Height: 150 cm, Width: 80 cm.
