Abstract Composition By Pierre Coquet

Pierre Coquet (1926–2021) was a French painter associated with the Sanzist movement, born in Lyon in the late 1940s. True to a sensitive and independent style of painting, he developed a body of work that alternates between figuration and abstraction, driven by a constant exploration of light, color, and emotion. As a heir to the French intimist tradition, he is now recognized as one of the leading figures in 20th-century Lyon painting.
