LucienLavedan : “Sketchbook of Drawings and Watercolors from 1911,” sketchbook 31x 24 cm containing 19 drawings and watercolors, some based on the Masters or on photographs, others from life, and 8 loose sheets of various sizes in pencil.
Some soiling; some of the loose sheets show traces of creases and small tears along the edges.
Describing himself as “Musician and Painter, Tarbes, H. P. ,” the artist had a lovely touch with the pencil, as evidenced by this sketchbook, which also includes ornate musical scores, a charming portrait of the actress Mercédès Pardo stepping out of a horse-drawn carriage, and officials at the opening of an agricultural exhibition in front of a magnificent pig and titled “Cochonnerie”!
