Black Forest Cane Knob
The upper third of what was undoubtedly a splendid monoxyl cane from the Black Forest, which has unfortunately been broken.
On this upper third, carved to resemble a tree trunk, the handle is shaped like a monkey climbing the tree; only a single glass eye remains; to preserve this section, which features exquisite carving, it has been mounted on a black wooden base.
