Important Oval Extendable Walnut Side Table, 170 Cm, Napoleon III Period, Dining Table
Very large pedestal table in solid walnut, with a thick top composedof two solid planks, each 66 cm wide, and a border refined by acorbin-style edge.
Imposing central base consisting of a wide, fluted shaft withchamfers, supported by four cantilever legs decorated with acanthus leavesand scrollwork.
Extensive set of sliding runners allowing for an opening of approximately5 meters
Needs complete restoration; slight play in the center of the tabletop;missing casters, moldings at the base of the central shaft, and part of themolding at the base of the fascia. No additional legs.
Date: second half of the 19th century.
