"Les Rendez-vous du diable" is a French documentary film directed by Haroun Tazieff, shot in 1958 and released on January 1, 1959. This 80-minute film is Haroun Tazieff's best-known work. The renowned geologist filmed the active craters of volcanoes in Europe, Asia, and Latin America. The volcanoes visited were Sakurajima and Aso-San in Japan, Taal in the Philippines, Anak Krakatoa, Sumbing and Merapi in Indonesia, Izalco in El Salvador, Stromboli and Etna in Italy, and Faial in Portugal.
