Jean-Baptiste CLESINGER (France, 1814–1883), large patinated and gilded bronze sculpture depicting Zingara, a Neapolitan dancer with a tambourine, signed “J Clèsinger Rome” - 1858, inscription on the base in relief: “F. Barbedienne, foundry,” and a circular mark, along with the stamp “Mechanical reduction by A. COLLAS, Patented.”
In excellent condition, may need cleaning and polishing; very fine craftsmanship, beautiful patina, highly decorative.
