Pair Of Bedside Tables Made Of Wood, Brass, And Tinted Glass — Italy, 1950s–1960s
Pair of two-tiered nightstands made of walnut with grooved slats; the top shelf is made of black-tinted glass. The gilded brass base with double arches and flared feet is characteristic of postwar Italian design, in the style of Vittorio Dassi or Lombard production from the 1950s–1960s. The open-slatted lower shelf was traditionally used to store newspapers and magazines.
