Gilt Bronze And Painted Glass Bowl Pendant, Louis XVI Style, Late 19th / Early 20th Century
Three-arm ormolu suspension lamp in a conical bowl shape. The blown glass bowl, decorated with floral motifs and garlands painted in orange on a cream background, diffuses soft light from within. The chased bronze frame is adorned with ram heads, draped garlands and pearl friezes, in the Louis XVI neoclassical repertoire. The ceiling rose is in matching gilded bronze.
The fixture is currently presented with decorative candles; it can be fitted with three electric sockets.
