A George IV sterling silver coffee pot, Paul Storr, London, 1823

Rare coffee pot by silversmith Paul Storr. The body features a neoclassical design with a rounded profile that tapers toward the base. It stands on a circular pedestal base, adorned with a band of vertical fluting. The hinged lid is embellished with shell decorations and a small ornamental finial in the shape of an acorn. Decorative bands with floral and geometric motifs are engraved along the upper edges. The spout has an elegant curvature and is decorated on its upper section. The wooden handle is attached to the main body with highly detailed upper and lower mounts shaped as figures.
