Tortoiseshell Box Containing A Miniature Portrait Of Anne Nicole Voullemier De Saint Vincent De Paul

Artist: Anne Nicole Voullemier (1792-1882)
Large tortoiseshell box with a large miniature, likely set in ivory, inlaid and surrounded by a silver border.
This miniature is signed “Voullemier,” a confirmed signature of Anne Nicole Voullemier (1792–1882)* and, I believe, depicts Saint Vincent de Paul holding a crucifix; this painting measures 8.2 cm x 6 cm at face, and it shows signs of soiling as visible in the latest photos, which were taken without the glass after disassembly.
The date appears to be 1855.
The box itself has been restored, as can be seen in the photos.

*Born in Ampilly-le-Sec on July 4, 1792.
She exhibited at the Paris Salon from 1819 through 1850.
A student of Jean-Baptiste Regnault and Louis-François Aubry, she primarily painted miniatures.
She was awarded a third-class medal in 1835 and a second-class medal in 1845. The director of the royal museums awarded her a gold medal on behalf of the king.
Moved by the delicate beauty of one of her works, Pauline de Flaugergues dedicated a poem to her.
Among her students was Stéphanie Aubert.
Anne-Nicole Voullemier died on November 4, 1882, at her Paris home on Rue de Sèvres.
She was buried on November 6 at the Montparnasse Cemetery.
Many of her works are held in institutional collections:
-Portrait of Rupérou, 1844, oil on canvas, Saint-Brieuc Museum of Art and History.
-Bust of a Young Woman Wearing a Green Dress, c. 1845, miniature, watercolor and gouache on ivory, Caen Museum of Fine Arts.
-Portrait of Henrion de Pansey, 1846, oil on canvas, Bar-le-Duc, Barrois Museum.
-Jean-Jacques Rousseau Working on His Herbarium, undated, watercolor, Montmorency, Jean-Jacques-Rousseau Museum.
