Renowned painter Paul FENASSE (1899–1976). This luminous work perfectly captures the unique atmosphere of “the gateway to the desert,” with its traditional terracotta dwellings, lush palm grove, and arid mountains in the background. The panoramic format, typical of the artist’s landscapes of southern Algeria, offers a beautiful sense of depth.
The painting is enhanced by a very substantial carved wooden frame featuring geometric motifs inspired by Berber art, which reinforces its authentic and historical character.
