Terracotta Sculpture Signed By Mucha

Artist: Mucha
Large Art Nouveau-style terracotta sculpture dating from the period 1900–1910, depicting a woman in a kimono; the sweeping movement of the sleeves and the woman’s undulating posture are characteristic of the organic lines of Art Nouveau.
She holds a fan featuring a clock face (not functional), while in her other hand she holds a bouquet of flowers; this motif poetically associates the passing of time with fleeting beauty.
It is crafted from terracotta with bronze-green, ochre, and brown patinas to subtly mimic the precious metallic patinas of the era.
It bears Mucha’s signature.
It is also in very good condition, except for a small chip on one finger—which is not broken (see last photo)—and the clock, which does not work.
Its dimensions include a height of 63 cm and a width of 26 cm.
