Pair of Candlesticks from the Portieux Crystal Works representing the Virgin Mary holding in her arms a bouquet of flowers and a cross. The candlesticks are made of satin, transparent, molded-pressed glass. The feet are decorated with Godrons, flowers and crosses. They are in good condition except for a dent on one of the two candlesticks at the level of the dress. (see last photo). Each measures 27 cm in height and the diameter of the foot 12 cm. Delivery in France and Europe. The Portieux crystal works is the heir to one of the oldest French crystal manufacturers specializing in goblet, decorative and fancy items. Initially a modest glassworks founded in 1690 by François Magnien de Magnienville, it became two centuries later the largest company in the Vosges with a thousand employees
