Pair Of Paris Porcelain Vases, Napoleon III Period
An elegant pair of Parisian porcelain vases dating from the second half of the 19th century, during the Second Empire (Napoleon III period).
These vases feature a dynamic Rocaille-inspired shape, embellished with openwork handles, rich relief decoration accented with gold, and delicate areas of emerald green and pink. The front panels are adorned with hand-painted romantic scenes, while the reverse sides reveal charming bouquets of polychrome flowers, also hand-painted.
The refinement of the decoration, the delicacy of the gilding, and the quality of the craftsmanship make this a superb example of prestigious 19th-century Parisian production.
