Gustave Colsoulle, 1843–1895, was a Belgian painter, watercolorist, and sculptor born in Bruges. He studied at the academies in Ghent and Antwerp. He was a painter of landscapes featuring animals, with a particular fondness for horses, stables, and barns. Works are held at the Antwerp Museum. The artist is listed in Arto and Piron (Dictionaries of Belgian Painters). Listed on Artprice, Artnet, etc...

This canvas, securely stretched on its original stretcher, is in very good condition.
The painting, which has never been cleaned and is dirty, is in good original condition. Very minor visible signs of wear.
