A superb, complete set of 12 hand-painted polychrome porcelain figurines depicting the famous “Singerie” or “Orchestra of Musician Monkeys” (Affenkapelle), inspired by historical models created in the 18th century by J.J. Kändler for the Meissen porcelain manufactory.
Each figurine is finely detailed, dressed in colorful Rococo-era costumes accented with gilding, and set on a white and gold scroll-work rocaille base.
