Display Cabinet In Rosewood And Mahogany Marquetry, Louis XVI Style – Early 20th Century

This charming Louis XVI-style display cabinet captivates with the delicacy of its rosewood and mahogany marquetry, enhanced by ornate, polished trim. Its beveled gray marble top adds a touch of distinction to the piece. The side panels are adorned with beautiful bronze finials. The surface of the cabinet is entirely covered with marquetry forming geometric patterns or trompe-l’oeil designs.  The door features floral marquetry made of stained wood inlaid into rosewood leaves shaped like butterfly wings. This display cabinet, glazed on three sides, opens with a door featuring a functional key and a finely chiseled bronze keyhole, reflecting the attention to detail. The interior reveals two seamlessly integrated glass shelves, ideal for showcasing precious objects, porcelain, or small trinkets. In the lower section, a storage area provides practical functionality while preserving the piece’s aesthetic harmony. This piece rests on four tapered legs fitted with spurs in the pure Louis XVI style.
The piece as a whole is an authentic and timeless work of art, perfect for enhancing a classic interior or adding a touch of old-world charm to a contemporary decor.
