Lombard-style Trumeau With Mirrored Doors, Italy, Early 20th Century
A Lombard-style trumeau, crafted from walnut and walnut burl, featuring an upper section with a pair of mirrored doors. The 45-degree-angled side panels are embellished with leaf-motif carvings, lending the piece a classic elegance. The base features a scalloped front with a pair of doors that mimic three drawers, while an additional drawer is located in the panel beneath the top. The central flap door conceals an internal storage unit consisting of four drawers and an open compartment, embellished with maple trim. The scroll-style legs and moldings, originally ebonized, complete the refined design. The interior is made of poplar, preserving the authenticity of the materials.
