Neo-egyptian-style Partitioned Planter With Polychrome Decoration, Circa 1900

A remarkable cloisonné planter or plantershade dating from the early 20th century (circa 1900), richly decorated with Neo-Egyptian motifs in polychrome enamel.

With a broad, rounded shape, this vase is decorated using the traditional cloisonné technique, in which fine metal wires define individual decorative compartments, which are then filled with colored enamels. The resulting surface combines vibrant colors with highly refined linear details.
